Music: Kids in Harmony - I LOVE MY BODY SONG

A beautiful companion to the 'I Love My Body book', I Love the Body that I’m In is a much-loved song within my Kids in Harmony Wellbeing Program, created as a playful body awareness experience to nurture positive body image, connection and self-love from the earliest years of life. 

I wrote this song to give children and the people who care for them a meaningful and joyful way to connect through movement, music, language and love; supporting children to build a healthy relationship with their body from the inside out.

Through repetition, rhythm, movement and simple affirming words, children are invited to explore their body parts, move their bodies with joy and celebrate exactly who they are. The song gently supports body awareness, confidence, belonging, mind-body connection and emotional wellbeing in a way that feels playful, safe and engaging for babies through to 8-year-olds.

Journeying through the seasons and the rhythm of the day, I Love the Body that I’m In creates meaningful moments of connection, learning and empowerment through music and movement.

One of the things I love most about this song is how naturally it invites children to speak kindly about themselves while creating moments of joy, movement and togetherness with the people around them.
